Biography – Early Life & Career
Paras Kalnawat, who was born on 9th November 1996 in Ganeshpur, a small village in Nagpur, Maharashtra. He dreamed of becoming an actor from the 2nd grade, started attending his school plays at the age of 10.
Paras completed his primary education at the Sanskar Vidya Sagar School, Nandanvan, Nagpur. For his higher education, he enrolled in the Shri Mathuradas Mohota College of Science, Nagpur.
After completing his 12th, he came to Mumbai and enrolled in S.K. Somaiya College of Arts, Science and Commerce College for his graduation in B.Com.
Later he joined Terence Lewis academy for learning dance. He attended Barry John Acting School to learn acting skills.
Acting Career
Paras started his career as a model with a Pepsi ad. After which he worked in many more commercials and at the same time he used to give auditions of many shows.
After being rejected in many auditions, he made his television debut with the Meri Durga show in July 2017. The show was premiered on Star Plus for over a year where Paras played the role of Sanjay Prince Ahlawat (SP). The audience loved Paras and Srishti Jain’s on-screen chemistry.
Paras liked the concept of the Meri Durga show which was very different from the rest of the shows and that was the reason he made his debut with this show.
He then starred in Mariam Khan – Reporting Live (2018) series with the same channel Star Plus as Rehaan Thakur opposite Priyanka Kandwal.
In 2018, he starred in episodic roles in Aye Zindagi and Kaun Hai?. After this, he appeared in the romantic & horror television show Laal Ishq in 2019 where he played Kabir and Manu.
In 2019, Paras Kalnawat entered the digital platform playing Shivam Noon in ALT Balaji’s Dil Hi Toh Hai 2. He also played Faraz Sheikh in the ZEE5’s web series Ishq Aaj Kal and reprised his role as Shivam on Dil Hi Toh Hai 3 in early 2020.
Since 2020, he is playing the character of Anupamaa’s younger son Samar Shah in the Star Plus TV show Anupamaa. Apart from the TV shows, Paras appeared in a music video Tere Naal Rehna alongside Ashi Singh.It was filmed following the social distancing rules due to COVID-19.
But recently Paras was tested Covid-19 positive due to which the shooting of the Anupamaa show has been stopped.
