Biography – Early Life & Career
Shikha Singh was born on 07 February 1986 (age 35 years in 2021) in Yamunanagar, Haryana. However, since childhood, she was one of those people who believed in spending her life by doing a good job after studying. So Shikha came into the TV industry only after completing her studies.
Shikha completed her primary schooling at Sacred Heart Convent School in her hometown Yamunanagar. After this, she enrolled in MCM DAV College for Women, Chandigarh to pursue her graduation.
When the audition was going on in Chandigarh during her college time, Shikha attended it and she got selected. And that’s how she got her first breakthrough from season 2 of SAB TV’s TV series Left Right Left in 2007. Where she played the character of Akriti Bhat.
She was next seen in Zee TV’s Meri Doli Tere Angana and Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan. In 2009, she starred as Kukki in Colors TV’s show Uttaran, and the following year, she entered Colors TV’s social drama serial Na Aana Is Des Lado as Amba Sangwan before her exit in 2011.
Shikha collaborated with Colors TV for the show Phulwa for the third consecutive time. She acted in 26/12 of Life OK in 2013 with the character of Shahan Malik and the next Adaalat. This was followed by Meghana Singhania in Sasural Simar Ka on Colors, and then she portrayed the brave girl warrior Shikhandi in the epic TV series Mahabharata; Both roles were from 2013 to 2014.
From 2014 to 2020, Shikha portrayed the commendable character, Alia Mehra Khanna in Kumkum Bhagya; In the meantime, she walked the ramp for the same role on her spin-off Kundali Bhagya and was also cast in Chandra Nandini on Star Plus and Vibha in the popular TV episode Laal Ishq.
Apart from acting, In 2008, Shikha appeared as herself in Sony Entertainment Television’s Jubilee Comedy Circus. She anchored the exchanging series Gold Safe (2009-10). She was seen in Comedy Nights Bachao in 2015 and 2016.
Personal Life
Shikha is from a Punjabi family who spent her childhood in Haryana. Shikha’s husband’s name is Karan Shah who is a pilot by profession.
Shikha and Karan Shah first time met in the gym and started dating each other. But after dating for several years, the two tied the knot in April 2016. Shikha gave birth to a daughter, Alayna Singh Shah, on 15 June 2020.
Since 2020, she has been away from the TV industry. She left the show Kumkum Bhagya due to her maternity, but she has not yet returned to the industry due to Corona Pandemic.
