Biography – Early Life & Career
Yash Soni aka SouL VipeR born on 18 December 1998 (age 21 years in 2020) in Mumbai. Since childhood, he was very fond of playing video games. He used to play games like Counter Strike on PC, after which he also played games on PS2, PS3 and PS4.
Viper completed his high school, intermediate and B.Com from Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics College, Mumbai, Maharashtra. He was a smart student at school time, he got 90% in 10th standard.
Prior to PUBG, he used to play Free Fire Battle Royale game with his society’s friends. In the beginning, Viper was in Rip Official Clan. Later on, In December 2018, he Joined SouL as a professional Roster for PUBG Mobile Esports.
Yash Soni Esport career

He started his career as competitive Esport player with popular LAN event tournament named DreamHack 2018 and secured 1st position in the tournament with teammates SOUŁ々MortaL, SOUŁ々Owais, and SOUŁ々Ronak. Later Owais and Ronak left Team SouL and joined Team Fnatic.
Viper was scheduled to appear in his CET exam on 10 March 2019, but could not attend as the PMIS (PUBG Mobile India Series) final was held in Hyderabad on the same date. Not attending the CET exam was the turning point of his career as his team became the winner of the PMIS 2019 tournament with a winning amount of US$41,000.
In June 2019, at another major event, PUBG Mobile Club Open – Spring Split: India Team SouL was placed first in the following tournament winning amount of US$60,000 and qualified for the PUBG Mobile Club Open – Fall Split Global Finals.
At the Berlin were Finals held, Team SouL acquired 12th position. Team SouL consisting of Ronak, Viper, MortaL & Owais represented India in PMCO Global Finals. In the second season (2020) of PUBG Mobile Club Open – Fall Split: South Asia, Team SouL secured as runner-ups in the Regional Finals, and ultimately 12th position again in Global Finals in Kuala Lumpur.

How did you get the name Viper?
Actually, he was a big fan of WWE since childhood. His favourite wrestler was Randy Orton, whose nickname was Viper. So whichever game he played, he used to keep that name as a game name and that is how it stuck with him.

Apart from being an esports player, Viper has always stepped up to help people. As he is the co-leader of one of India’s favourite PUBG Mobile Team SouL, he is an inspiration and idol to many.
